My Brain Just Generates Premium Word Salad.

Are you someone who wonders if existence is nothing but your awareness of it?

When you see a tree, it feels like you’re directly experiencing the tree. But in truth, what you know isn’t the tree itself it’s your awareness of the tree.

Light bounces off the leaves, enters your eyes, gets converted into signals, your brain interprets them, and finally, the image of the tree appears in your awareness.

because what do you mean reality, as I know it, is just an interpretation my brain constructs by decoding sensory input?

My eyes even have blind spots that get automatically filled in and I can perceive only 0.1% of the light spectrum the rest drifts in oblivion around me. Untouched and Unknown.

Out of billions of sensory inputs, the Reticular Activating System decides what I actually notice. Even thoughts and ideas are neural firings, and only the ones that win the brain’s internal competition reach my awareness. Experiments show the brain initiates actions seconds before I consciously “decide” them.

Add to that the Default Mode Network, amygdala, prefrontal cortex, and countless other systems constantly shaping, distorting, and curating my experience.
